Seaforth
Northern Beaches · Example job
Recurring roots in a 1960s clay sewer — relined, no digging
The owners had cleared the same sewer four times in two years. Every few months the toilets would gurgle, the shower would slow, and they’d call someone to ram a cable through. It always came back.
$3,500–$5,500 (clear, CCTV, and two-section relining)

Lindfield
North Shore · Example job
Collapsed clay sewer under a driveway — targeted replacement
Sewage started backing up into the laundry after every heavy rain. The home was a 1920s build with the original clay sewer running under a concrete driveway — the owners were dreading a big dig.
$2,600–$4,000 (CCTV, locate, and 1.5m targeted replacement)
CCTV footage
Marrickville
Inner West · Example job
A terrace sewer full of fig roots — cleaned and mapped before any dig
A century-old terrace with the original earthenware sewer. A huge street fig on the nature strip had been sending roots under the block for decades. The owners wanted to know their options before committing to anything.
$4,100–$6,400 (jet, CCTV, and two-section relining)
CCTV footage
Cronulla
Sutherland Shire · Example job
A flooded side path every time it rained — stormwater cleared and re-graded
Every heavy downpour turned the side path of this 1970s Cronulla home into a creek. The owners had tried surface grates and a plumber’s eel, but the water kept coming back.
How to read these jobs
Each job follows the same structure: what the homeowner noticed, what the camera found, what we did about it, and the price range for that kind of work. The camera stills are the evidence. If a job needed relining or excavation, we say why the cheaper option would not have held.
The jobs on this page are worked examples built from the problems we see most often across Sydney’s older suburbs: recurring root blockages, sewage smells with no obvious cause, overflowing gullies, collapsed earthenware, and stormwater that floods the yard. As real jobs are completed with customer permission, they replace the examples here.
Use them to sense-check a quote you have been given. If someone has recommended a full dig-up for what looks like a root blockage, the CCTV stills here show what a relining candidate usually looks like, and our checker will tell you whether the numbers stack up.

You see the inside of your own pipe on the screen, and we explain it in plain English as we go.
Blocked drain? See what’s wrong before you spend a dollar.
We clear it today, put a camera down, and show you the footage. No quote forms, no pressure, and the price range is published before we come.
